We are a group of makers and tinkerers and since childhood we’ve been making things and breaking things – to see how they work. More recently we’ve taken an interest in Arduino’s, Raspberry Pi’s, laser cutters, 3D printers and all sorts of modern technology, gadgets and gizmo’s.

We write courses for Hacklabs to help teach kids about these things. What we’ve found more and more  is that it’s not just the kids who want to learn. We meet lots of parents at makerfaires and other events who would love to be more involved with what their kids are doing but just don’t know where to start. Even Steve’s father is keen to start to learn more having helped on an initial project for a friend – from here our Ken-Do courses were born.

Why Ken Do? Well, Steve’s Dad’s name is Ken and in a lot of these areas he also Knows Essentially Nothing, hence these courses were written to teach him how to Do these things. Hopefully this also means these courses will be useful for others in helping them learn too.
